Printing
Many times it is important to print out the comparison frames or multiple frames of the
same performance. VIS lets you automatically arrange the number of frames and
placement in rows and columns. The philosophy is that you start with a clean piece
of paper and assemble the images you want in a print layout. You might first place
the KEY FRAME sequence of the learner and then add the KEY FRAME sequence of the expert
(See the image on the Comparing How To for an example of this
technique). For a final touch, you might an important frame with angles drawn to
emphasize a focus area.
The print layout has a provision for you to add your logo so that it is automatically
placed on each page. You can set variables such as the date, student name and time
of day to automatically appear on each page and be updated. All printing
and print setup is done internally in VIS without having to use other software.
Print layouts have been designed so that you don't spend many mouse clicks preparing
them. Students don't come to you to watch you operate your computer. We strive to
make your necessary output and computer interaction invisible to your student.
Quick Text
We have found that most instructors (us included) are somewhat like broken records - we
seem to repeat the same instructions over and over. VIS allows you to type in these
comments so that you can add them to your print layout by simply clicking on Quick Text,
selecting your comment, and dragging it to the appropriate place on the layout.
Quick text notes can be organized by topic (such as practice
instructions, side view
comments, mental training notes) so that you can find them quickly.
