You can create a path that traces motion in the movie clip. This function does not automatically generate the trace, but it is easily created with the path tool.
To create a path trace, select either
Once you have selected the path tool, you will be prompted for a path name. This name is used to identify your path. After providing a name, the path dialog box appears. (If you are going to be creating several paths, it is recommended that you use descriptive name of either the body part or device, for example, hand or club.) In this dialog box, you can choose your color, line width, number of leading an trailing points you want to appear, and the number of frames you want for auto-advance during path setup.
When you select Continue, you return to the movie clip. At this point you simply select the point you want to trace by clicking on it with the left mouse button. The movie will automatically advance by the amount chosen in the path dialog box so that you can easily select the next point on the path.
To set up a multi-colored path, you create the first color, and then select the path tool a second time to start a new path. Select New to start a new path, give it a name, chose your new color, and click Continue to continue construction of the trace with a different color.
