VIS Version 2.0
VIS version 2.0 is currently in beta test
(5/14/97) and is scheduled for release in June, 1997. Version 2.0
incorparates most of the improvements that have suggested by
users over the last two years, and will be available to all
registered customers at no charge. Listed below are the major
enhancements.
- True Windows 95 application: better
performance, long file names, newer drivers
- Read and write standard Windows .AVI
file format for movies
- Built-in streaming video capture (to
file and to memory)
- Key frames in movies can be defined
and used for playing and layout.
- Key frames, text notes, and sketching
overlays are saved with movies.
- Keyboard control of movie playing.
- Movie tiling - i.e. showing multilple
frames of the movie side by side.
- Movie editting options including trim,
crop, frame deletion, and color reduction.
- New sketching toolbar
- Sketching can be done directly on
movies.
- Improved support for various color
resolutions.
- Horizontal and vertical mirror options
added to movie playback
- Visual List for AVI files
