Video Tips

Starting with the best possible video is one of the most important factors in obtaining good results with VIS.

Zoom in on the subject as much as possible. Fill up the viewfinder!

Use a fast shutter speed (1/1000 or greater) for moving subjects to eliminate motion blur.

Good lighting is essential to good quality video. The faster the shutter speed, the more light you need.

Use a tripod.

Use S-VHS or Super-8mm equipment for better quality videos.

Don't pan and zoom if you plan on performing distance or velocity measurements.
