Installing VIS

To install VIS, insert the VIS CD in your CD drive. If the AutoPlay feature of Windows 95 or Windows 98 is enabled, the setup program from the CD will automatically start. If the setup program does not automatically run, select the Windows Start button, Run… command, enter D:\START, where D: is the letter of your CD drive. Once the setup program is started, simply select the Install Software option to begin installing the software.
By default, the VIS software will be installed to the C:\VIS directory, and the VIS data folders and sample files will be installed to C:\VIS-CLIPS. This directory structure (or a similar one) is recommended to keep your data files in a single location, separate from the software files. The VIS software installation does not place any files in the Windows directory, nor does it make any registry modifications. When the installation is finished, you should have a VIS 3.0 shortcut on the Windows Desktop and in the Windows Start menu.
