Active window: The image or movie window which receives keyboard and menu commands. The active window typically has a darker caption bar. Click on a particular window to make it active, or use the Tab key to make the next window active if you have several windows displayed.

Key frames: A frame in a movie clip that shows an important part of a skill. Key frames allow quick access to the most important frames of a movie clip. The are useful for creating movie layouts showing a few select frames and, when playing multiple movies, are used to set timing points to synchronize the movies.

Palette: set of colors that can be displayed at a single time when the Windows display adapter has a limitation on the number of colors that can be used.
Print area: image or set of images grouped together for printing
Radio button: Windows term for a set of round buttons designating a mutually exclusive group of choices. Only one button in the group can be selected -- selecting a new button clears the previous selection.
